Throughout the 2010s, the Hawkeye Initiative was an idea posted on Tumblr to point out how ridiculously posed women in comics can be, by re-drawing the same image and replacing the women with Marvel Comics character Hawkeye. This started BEFORE Hawkeye became an international superstar thanks to the 2012 Marvel’s Avengers movie.
I thought it would be fun, so I did one, using Danger Girl #5 as my starting point — Definitely one of the more tame poses, but one I knew I would have fun with. I’ve included the original cover below for reference.

Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, and Tony Stark are all registered trademarks of Marvel Comics. Danger Girl is, as far as I know, owned entirely by its creator, J. Scott Campbell.
