In many of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video games based on the 1987 cartoon series, the generic enemies the Turtles fight over and over again are multicolored Foot Soldier ninja robots.
I’ve always wanted an army of rainbow Foot Soldiers. Since the Foot Soldier ReAction figure (left) is fairly plentiful at my local Target, I bought a few extras, and got to work with some paint.
While the official ReAction Foot Soldier is based on the original 1988 toy by Playmates, the purple one I made is the default look in the 1987 cartoon. I also made a red and blue one, which were the two most common other Foot Soldier colors in the games. In fact, for some reason, the red Foot were the default enemies in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist for Sega Genesis!
I plan to make more multicolored Foot in the future. But you gotta start somewhere…
