After a year and a half of Hawk & Croc’s School Daze, we brought things back to the present day. I don’t remember what brought this on, but Brandon and I thought it would be funny if the first comic back looked like it was drawn by a kindergartener, so that’s what we did.
In hindsight, it would PROBABLY be cleaner to go back and re-number School Daze from 1-52, and re-number this as comic 163. But I personally like keeping the legacy numbering on the entire 2003-2008 run. It’s easier to explain that we have 324 total comics in those five years than it is to say “well we did X number of this series and Y number of these…” So the legacy numbers stay!
