Mr. Johnson was based on my real-life 7th grade science teacher. I remember him specifically wearing a carnation-pink shirt and navy blue tie on several occasions. My favorite things from his class was learning about different single-celled organisms, so that’s what he’s teaching in his first appearance. He’d use the “time and a place” line whenever someone acted up in class.
The other three students in the background are other characters I’d created for a comic that never happened: Wendy has the streaks in her hair, Erik has the mullet, and Dane has the do-rag and shades. I included them because we needed more students to populate the school.
