The following was a social media post inspired by actual events that happened in 2014:
“You’re a cheap date,” she said, grabbing the check before he had a chance to respond. Before he knew it, her credit card was out, as she was seemingly determined to treat her friend, not even giving him a chance to offer to pay.
“Uhhh. Thank you? You’re welcome? I’m not really sure how to respond to that,” he bumbled. He WAS being silly, but this wasn’t a date at all. At least, he hadn’t gone in with that intention.
It was a good night.
